Amplifying Views for this Modern Barn Wedding Venue in Cornwall

Surrounded by rolling countryside in the heart of Bodmin Moor in Cornwall, a magnificent 5 star wedding venue called The Green Cornwall offers modern rustic barn character, reinforced with Origin Bi-fold and French Doors.

Mick and Millie McDonald purchased the historical dairy farm building (and some of the land in 2008) and converted it into contemporary holiday accommodation. The grounds were landscaped and opened to guests for the first time in August 2010 – quickly achieving a ‘5 Star Gold Rating’. 

In order to make the most of the stunning scenery offered from the Red Brick Barn, the McDonald’s decided to install aluminium bi-fold doors across the whole length of the building. They didn't want to detract away from the property's natural charm, so they did their research and came to choose Bifold Doors and Windows.

The McDonald’s opted for three 3+0 door sets, all of which can all be completely opened to maximise on space, creating a seamless link between indoors and outdoors. Next to this Bi-fold Door set at the top and back of the property, two French door sets with a fixed panel were installed to make full use of the scenery and make for an elegant exit. On top of this, they installed three Origin Windows in the kitchenette to benefit from the natural light. The family chose Origin installation partner Prime windows to complete their install.

The mix of red brick and aluminium profile in Slate Grey (7015M) blend perfectly to complement the charm of this modern barn and offer practicality as well as aesthetics. Combined with modern blinds, the bi-folds can also provide privacy when needed.

Bringing in heaps of natural light and scenery, the Origin Bi-folds and French Doors are perfect for all year round, keeping the venue warm in winter and cool in summer. Especially appreciated in the summer months, wedding parties can easily spill out onto the patio for drinks and canapes or benefit from a refreshing breeze when sitting indoors for the wedding breakfast.

The McDonalds are delighted with the end result: an extremely desirable modern barn wedding venue that makes the absolute most of its stunning location.
